The Years We Hold Return to the app

Early access

Terms

Effective July 27, 2026

These terms describe the early-access version of The Years We Hold. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

Who may use the service

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into an agreement where you live. The service is intended for parents and guardians, not for use by children.

Your account

Provide accurate account information, protect your password, and notify support if you believe someone else accessed your account. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

Your memories remain yours

You retain ownership of names, notes, and other content you add. You give the service only the limited permission needed to store, process, sync, and display that content as part of operating the product. Any photo or voice file uploaded during earlier testing remains yours, stays private, and is not available through the current product. It remains stored until its related remembered day, child, or account is deleted.

Respectful and lawful use

You may not use the service to:

An early product

Features may change, and occasional interruptions or defects are possible. Download a readable copy of your family record periodically and keep anything especially important somewhere you control.

The service is a private reflection tool. It is not medical, parenting, mental-health, emergency, or legal advice.

Availability and changes

We may change, pause, or discontinue features to improve safety, reliability, or the product. When a material change affects early testers, we will make reasonable efforts to explain it through the app or the invitation channel.

Suspension and termination

Access may be suspended for abuse, security threats, or material violations of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time. Signed-in users can remove the active account and its private family data from My account. Visit early-access support if that process fails.

Disclaimer and responsibility

During early access, the service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or that every item can always be recovered. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.

Privacy

The Privacy page explains what information is kept and how it is used.
